Delight Yoga

This one is a special gem in the Amsterdam Yoga scene. I have to admit that I’m a bit biased as they taught me the ropes and it’s here where my love for yoga came about.

They have 4 locations across Amsterdam and one in the Hague and all of them look like they literally jumped out of one of these fancy interior design magazines. Clean, modern and very tastefully designed.

Also, they are not joking around with their teachers. A lot of great teachers from all around the world come to teach special workshops or regular classes. You will be able to find anything from really spaced out chanting or Ashtanga practice in Mysore tradition to down to earth teachers that don’t take themselves too seriously but still know exactly what they do.

It’s kind of the spot where the stereotypical blogger or advertising dude or dudette would hang out and it can happen that classes are packed as its the place to be for many.

Location: 4 Beautiful studios all over town.

My Favorite Teachers (this one, of course, is super subjective as everyone has their favorite teacher and style) :

  • Hatha with Sandra Carson
  • Ashtanga with Ingrid Noten
  • Vinyasa with Chantal Soesters
  • Yin with Rolandjan van Mulligen

Extras: Always free teas, welcoming smiles of the lovely studio host, nice choice of literature and yoga wear/props for ok prices.

Also nice: Shit weather? Don’t want to leave the house but still want to have a guided practice? Here you can access amazing classes in all styles with many of the Delight teachers and other really really good people.
